Didn’t think I’d be linking to an article on vogue, but here we are. I’ll take any positive pitch about tumblr. I think two things that set it apart from anything else, including mastodon: text of arbitrary length + queue content simply. Sure twitter lets you schedule posts, but it’s an awkward interface. With tumblr it’s a simple add to queue, post tomorrow or schedule proper. I’m often always choosing the former two. This allows me to think through stuff in one go and not repeatedly return to the platform.
